Dr. Sanaz “Sunny” Fereshteh

Born in Connecticut and raised in Pennsylvania, Dr. Sunny (Sanaz) Fereshteh graduated from Dickinson College in 2003 with a bachelor's degree in chemistry. She began her career at Mass General Hospital in Boston before earning a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the USC School of Dentistry in 2009. From 2010 to 2015, she served as the lead dentist at a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) on California’s Central Coast.

Committed to supporting access to public health services, Dr. Sunny was a faculty advisor for the USC Dental Humanitarian Outreach Program from 2010 to 2022, organizing annual international service trips. She also volunteered with the USC Mobile Dental Clinic from 2010 to 2015, later becoming full-time faculty and eventually the Director of the program in 2017. In 2022, Dr. Sunny was appointed Section Chair of USC Mobile Programs. She continues to practice dentistry one day a week in the South Bay area of Los Angeles County.
