Dr. Tina Payne Bryson and Dr. Daniel J. Siegel

Dr. Tina Payne Bryson is the author of numerous books, two of which, both co-authored with Daniel Siegel, are New York Times Best Sellers that have become classics in the world of parenting books. You may have heard of The Whole-Brain Child and No Drama Discipline, each of which has been translated into over 50 languages. She is the Founder and Executive Director of The Center for Connection, a multidisciplinary clinical practice here in Pasadena. She also serves as the Child Development Specialist at St. Mark's School in Altadena. Dr. Bryson keynotes conferences and conducts workshops for parents, educators, and clinicians all over the world, and she frequently consults with schools, businesses, camps, and other organizations. She is a graduate of Baylor University with a Ph.D. from the University of Southern California.

Dr. Daniel J. Siegel received his medical degree from Harvard University and completed his postgraduate medical education at UCLA with training in pediatrics and child, adolescent and adult psychiatry. He is a clinical professor of psychiatry at the UCLA School of Medicine and the founding co-director of the Mindful Awareness Research Center at UCLA. An award-winning educator, he is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and recipient of several honorary fellowships. Dr. Siegel has published extensively for the professional audience as well as the books he co-authored with Dr. Bryson and his New York Times bestsellers Brainstorm: The Power and Purpose of the Teenage Brain, Mind: A Journey to the Heart of Being Human and Aware: The Science and Practice of Presence.

Since the infancy of Young & Healthy's Trauma Informed Care initiative, we have focused on developing courses for parents/guardians/caregivers using a whole brain approach. The work of Dr. Bryson and Dr. Siegel has provided the foundation on which this important program was built.

Helen and Will Webster Foundation

Established in 1997, the Helen and Will Webster Foundation is dedicated to the advancement of young people, with equitable access to health education and welfare. The Foundation supports a wide variety of initiatives that include access to healthcare, children's hospitals, academic tutoring, college counseling, afterschool programs, food assistance, University of California academic programs, and many others. The Foundation is directed by Richard Webster and his brother, Alec.
